Hina gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. Yukina's mother, Hina, broke the rules of their people by conceiving children through her relationship with her lover, a male fire demon. ![]() Due their cold nature driving her mother to suicide, she reveals a more vengeful side as well, one motive to find her twin brother being to fulfill their self fulfilling prophecy of their demise at the hands of the "imiko". She felt that the Ice Maidens had grown cynical and emotionless as a race, remarking that their hearts were as "frozen" as their homeland. Over time, Yukina distanced herself from her people. Despite being taken prisoner and used as a "gem producer" by Gonzo Tarukane, she didn't allow it to affect her opinion of humans, remarking to Kuwabara, shortly after being freed, that she still enjoys being around them. The most well known (and tragic) example of this is when Elder Toguro constricts and kills two birds in his hand, resulting in her breaking into tears. She is a very caring person and loves nature. Yukina also appears very curious about the identity of her brother and is determined to find him, though in the end she never finds out who he is. Yukina is the only main character (aside from Kuwabara's sister) who refers to him by his given name, Kazuma. Despite this, she does seem to care for him and enjoy his company. Because of her upbringing, she is largely oblivious to Kuwabara's romantic feelings towards her for most of the series, finding his flirting to be humorous. Yukina, unlike her family of female ice apparitions, is very kind-hearted and polite, although a bit naive. In the All or Nothing OVA, Yukina's hair is now tied in a high ponytail and wears a light blue short sleeved loose cotton dress and brown flats. Her long hair is now braided, and she wears a pink dress with a brown cardigan sweater. Her appearance does not change until the final episode of the anime. She is also rather short, being a half a head shorter than Keiko and even slightly shorter than the her already short brother. The red 'lining' seen around her collar indicates she has a Hiyoku (an undergarment) on underneath it. She is almost always seen wearing a long-sleeved, light blue kimono with a darker blue obi that's tied in the back. ![]() Her live-action appearance is similar to her anime counterpart and her mint-green hair was tied in a loose ponytail. Furthermore, Jun Shison ( Battle of Supreme High, Bubble ) will be taking on the role of Kurama, Kanata Hongo ( Kingdom, Attack on Titan ) the role of Hiei and Shuhei Uesugi the role of Kazuma Kuwabara.Yukina has long mint-green hair that is kept in a low ponytail where it is tied in the back with a fancy red ribbon and red eyes. Takumi Kitamura (Let Me Eat Your Pancreas, Tokyo Revengers) will be taking on the lead role of Yusuke in Netflix’s upcoming live action adaptation of the legendary manga Yu Yu Hakusho, where a teen dies and becomes an ‘underworld detective’ to investigate cases involving demons. “When I first heard about Yu Yu Hakusho receiving a live-action adaptation, I honestly wondered if it would even be possible-but after being presented with the producer’s vision and possibilities with Netflix, my expectations grew and I found myself burning with passion to make this project come to life", director Sho Tsukikawa reveals. The spectacular adventure of Yusuke will now become a live action series on Netflix. From there, Yusuke becomes entwined in a mystery that envelopes the human, demon and spirit worlds. Thus, Yusuke is given a chance to be revived, and after passing his trial, he becomes an Underworld Detective. As he grapples with the fact that he is looking down on his dead body, a woman named Botan, who calls herself a guide to the spirit world, relays to him the shocking truth: no one expected a delinquent like Yusuke to die performing an act of goodness, and there was no place for him in either heaven or hell. The manga revolves around Yusuke Urameshi, a junior high school student who spends his days getting into fights and dies in an accident while trying to protect a young child. The manga is considered a fan favorite and has sold over 50 million copies in Japan alone. The upcoming series is based on the legendary Japanese manga of the same name by Yoshihiro Togashi, which was originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha as Jump Comics) starting in 1990. ![]() Yu Yu Hakusho will be premiering worldwide and only on Netflix in December 2023
