It is ready to harvest, but is only the second shade of orange. If you dont cut at all, then the grass dies off in winter and will start growing again in spring It is the grass that was already planted on the map. If you cut in summer, from my understanding, it wont be ready to cut again until summer next year. On the three maps that I have been playing seasons with, grass has always shown up as ready to harvest within the first few days of summer and will remain in that state untill winter, unless you cut inbetween that time. Since 2015 my crystal ball has been in for repair, so I can only take a guess at questions like this Sleeping is a lame way to do it and wastes a lot of time. You cant speed crop growth up when not using seasons. I went a month without a single growth stage. First thing I noticed is that in the new crop calendar, Wheat, Barley, and Canola all have to be planted in the fall now. If not playing with seasons, turning the seasons off during initialization of the map sometimes will cause the crops not to grow at all. Other vehicles are required for collecting other. A normal Harvester can collect only the following types of crops: Wheat, Barley, Corn, Canola, Soybeans and Sunflowers. When checking the growth-stage map in Farming Simulator 17, fields that are ready to harvest will appear yellow or orange. I noticed in the FS22 'Tutorials' page that they have a small blog on seasons in the new game. Harvesting can only be done once the plants are ready.
